Seattle BrewMuster

On Saturday, the Seattle BrewMuster event took place at Gallagher’s in Edmonds and the turn-out was great.  There were four batches brewed in all by a total of 16 brewers who encompassed all skill levels. Some had tried their hand at brewing before, and others didn’t even drink beer but wanted to experience the brewing process. In addition to the brewing, the attendees were also engaged in fun conversation and enjoying the tasty beer that Gallagher’s keeps on tap. There were also occasional raffle drawings for prizes ranging from beer to glassware.

Brewing groups were asked to name their beer and their breweries.  Congrats to the following brewers who participated:

Brewers will meet in a few weeks to enjoy and bottle their beers and the brews will be judged and awarded later this summer via a BrewMuster webcast (check back at CrapMonkey or BrewMuster for details). How’s Does This Work?

On Saturday, June 13th, we will meet at Gallagher’s in Edmonds at 4pm and organize into groups of four to brew a batch of beer.  There will be many different beer styles to choose from and a brewmaster will be on hand to make sure the beer we brew is of high quality.  You need not have any brewing experience or knowledge of beer to participate! 

The price of your ticket ($60) includes all of the materials, use of professional brewing equipment, and the bottles needed to brew and bottle a full batch of beer with your brew group.  When the brewing is complete, brew groups can decide on a future date to return for bottling their masterpiece.  Once the beer is finished (approximately 2 weeks after we brew) - you will get approximately 33 bottles of your very own brew!  That’s less then $2 per beer!

Of course, through all this there will be the opportunity to meet great people, mingle with others, and have your brew judged against the other brew groups when all is said and done. 

This is the first ever BrewMuster event in Seattle, so it’s a bit of an experiment.  We hope this will be a smashing success, but we can’t do it without you!  We can only support a total of 24 brewers (6 brewing groups of 4) so sign up now!  Please note: You must be 21 to attend this event.  Also, registration ends on June 6th!
